I thought about posting this. I read it on one of my gaming message boards early this afternoon.

I started playing Dungeons and Dragons 24 or 25 years ago. I haven't played in a very very long time, but it shaped my interests and hobbies even until today. I owe many hours of entertainment to this man. Not to mention a few beatings in high school for being such a nerd.

I've never played the game but I have a few friends who, over the years, have been very much into it and I know that they are incredibly thankful for Mr Gygax's game.

One of my favorite sites obviously has a member or two who are also fans and this is a tribute pic posted there tonight.

RIP sir.

R.I.P. sir. Your board game made the electronic transition well.

Gg, I'd slice you up for that comment, but you're not worth the XP! :)

Another man who helped shape the "down time" landscape for so many of us all.

While I was into D&D many years ago, the fad passed me by, but today I own a "spin-off" computer game called Dungeon Siege 2 that my son and I occasionally spend time playing.

Thank you for your contribution Mr Gygax and RIP.

Yeah, well, *I'm* not wasting my 5000gp diamond.

It wouldn't do you any good anyway. If you rezed him he would die right away since it sounds like he died of old age or its contributing affects.
