but a chicken wing...

describe what you think a good wing consists of. Is it fried? Is it battered? How hot can you handle? I've been saving my points all week and am damn near drooling at the thought of wrapping my lips around a juicy bone :D

fried up real crisp and drippy with sauce. not too hot-hot but zingy-hot...flavorful hot, i mean, not just peppery. lots of bleu and celery too.

and a margarita. gotta have the margarita.

we just got our corky's bbq in the mail for our superbowl pulled pork and i ordered a bottle of their hot sauce too. i can't wait to try it.

A good wing doesn't come in a basket with 10 other ones, IMO. Sorry, never been a fan of hot wings, buffalo wings, or whatever clever wing name a restaurant can devise.

However, a friend of mine was a big wing fan and the head cook at a particular restaurant he would frequent had a special hot sauce mixture he would use because the restaurant's standard 'super hot' mixture was not nearly hot enough for my buddy. :p

Wings IMO should be deep fried with no breading on them and with buffalo hot wing sauce. The sauce should be made with Franks Red Hot sauce and butter (if my memory serves me right it is 2 parts red hot and one part butter). Breading on wing is just filler to me, spiced up breading is just spicy filler and breading with sauce is soggy filler.

LOL I remember when that was true for me minus the poppers and make it a pitcher of beer.

Like I says; Gimme the zing and dribbles!!! :hot: I put 'em :cock: wings on a cookie sheet with my concoction of Chili powder, :horny: cayenne pepper, cajun blend, :hot: a basting of mixed bbq sauces and bake 'em good til they're flippin' themselves to be yanked from the oven  and gulped :bite: down some hungering throats.

My favorite local Pizza Place (Garner's) also is my favorite local Wings place. Deep fried with a zesty hot sauce on them. Delicious! And, on Wednesdays they have a special on wings making it a special day. :)

I also like them deep-fried with a light batter on them, or, smothered in a good gooey BBQ sauce.

I'm getting hungry.
