"Shaw met - The King is dead"
The goofball of the chess world, Bobby Fisher (http://weblogs.baltimoresun.com/sports/ordine/blog/2008/01/they_dont_have_to_search.html), seemed to be proof that brilliance sleeps closely to madness. At the time of the great Fischer-Spassky match, I tried to accept his radicalism as part of his strategy but his later life seemed to reflect a mind that worked different than the norm. My lesson was I to sift a mountain of rubble to find the diamonds.
