One of our all-time favorite Christmas stories ... maybe you'll enjoy it. Barrington Bunny by Martin Bell from the book, "The Way of the Wolf."

What a wonderful story DB. I'd never read that one before, thank you so much for sharing it.
And yep, tears here too. Actually watching a family of bunnies playing in the snow out in my front yard right now.

Thanks, IowaMan. I was a bit surprised by the lack of responses. I thought more people would enjoy the story ... but ... oh well, it's still one of our favorites and I'm glad for those that found the story to be a good one..

If it's going to make me cry I can't look when I am heading out the door or my make up will run.

Long ago, in a large forest there lived a furry little rabbit. He has a lop, a little black nose, very shiny eyes. His name was Barrington. Barrington is not really a very nice rabbit. Brown spots, he and his ears did not stand up right. But he also can jump, he, as I have said very hairy. In a sense, is interesting in winter rabbit. After all, which makes them the opportunity to jump in the snow, then turned around and saw where they jump. Thus, in a sense that winter is Barrington fun.
