Do you have a particular style of decor in your home? Or are you more eclectic? If you had your druthers what style would you adopt? Modern? Country? Traditional? French Country? Asian? Etc.........

Since I've been out of work I tend to gravitate to those design shows. I have an old farm house so it sort of speaks to the design it should have. I couldn't redesign the interior to a modern style. It would look ridiculous! Not to mention I don't care for the stark, straight lines and cold finishes of a modern design. Country curves and a mish/mosh of collectibles is more my style.

Our decor is what we've always referred to as Early American Junk. A never-ending, always-evolving mish-mash of hand-me-downs & whatever we can afford, stuffed into whatever corner has space left. Feng shui, my ass...

I often think of decorating in modern nude Lixy, and AzRedHot, and Lilith, and ...

Mrs. WI loves the French Country Provencial look, and our cape could go with a country feel too, considering the setting.

Pretty much the only style I don't like is Victorian, because the furniture doesn't look too comfortable.

We're mostly Irish antique furniture and a mismash of dark leather and Chreey wood. I like Spartan - the only thing I know without question is that I HATE knick nacks. I also hate dusting them. :p

Our place now is decorated in traditional/modern. We have been spending a lot of time looking at decorating designs for when we buy a house in a few years.

I want a place with lots of space, high ceilings, hard wood floors, and lots of natural light. I like clean lines, grey and silver is my base color choice with touches of red, turquoise, and sage green in the rooms. My master bedroom is going to be black and white with touches of red. Oh and a pink and black dungeon is a must! :D

I like cottage or beach styles but I have an ecclectic home now. I have a zillion knick knacks and I surroundmyself with things that speak to who I am and who I love.

Our decor is Australian evolutionary.

Lil's decor may not be my cup of tea, but it suits her.

Our house is exactly 50 years old which makes it not exactly modern but in no way old by British standards (my Mum had a Victorian house and my Dad a 300 year old thatched cottage when I was growing up).

When we bought it, it was wallpapered everywhere and looked very dated as well as shabby, but we're slowly bringing it into this Millienium with quite neutral shades, browns and beiges accented with pale blue that borders on duck-egg. I'd describe our house as 'shabby chic'. Quite modern but very comfortable and livable. We're not fashion freaks but it certainly doesn't look dated any more.

The kind that says, "Mess with me & you mess with the whole trailer park"?
