Two high school girls in Manatee County said they believe their school district has double standards on school spirit.

The two painted their entire bodies like their male classmates do all the time. After one minute in the first quarter of the last football game, the girls were kicked out.

"People think we did it to be rebels, senior teenagers. We did it because we wanted to show school spirit. That's all we did it for," Manatee High School student Monica Cummings said.

"Once the girls came in, there were a number of people who came up to the administrators who were very upset by their appearance," Manatee County Schools representative Margi Nanney said.

Officials admitted there have never been complaints about men in body paint. School district policy states administrators decide what's appropriate and what's not.

The two girls think the policy should change.

And what this article fails to mention is that the girls were also wearing bikini tops, *in addition* to the body paint.

Ridiculous.

If I were their supporters, next time there's a game on, I'd go and complain about the semi-clad men with body paint on. What's sauce for the goose.....
