I have contacted the reservation person for the Best Western Airport Inn and they have the rooms available for three(3) nights with check in on July 22, 2008. The standard rates are $65.99 a night, if we reserve 10 or more rooms we can get a rate of $59. a night. If we go with this hotel I can get it set up with reservations to start to be taken in a week or so and there will be a cut off date for reservations, but reservations can be cancedled up to 48 hours before check-in with no penalty. The hotel does not have a meeting room. I will be going to Nashville in Dec. to look over things and try to find places to dine at.

I would like to know if this sound good to most of those planning on attending.

Thank You
Scarecrow

Those rates sound fantastic to me and if you find the rest of the accommodations acceptable I'll be a happy reserved camper. :D

I suspect that as soon as this healing is somewhat completed, we'll be looking at making our reservations. Scarecrow, do you know if there was any discount (group) for the suite style rooms?

I think it's probably the best bet for balancing affordability vs. not being in a seedy neighborhood. Obviously, I won't be making reservations myself, but I could see myself spending some time camping out in the "Awful Waffle" ;) I have not checked out that particular area recently, but I used to live just a few blocks from Stewarts Ferry Pike, & it should be a decent area to stay in. I'll try to get over that way to scout the area more completely...they don't mention in the area attractions that it's about 7 miles from the Zoid House (don't miss it if you can)...

One thing I do know, there is a mental hospital just down the road...so for some of our Pixies, try to act normal if you see the men in the white coats coming your way...

PF better stay home in that case, we would want to lose him.

Wait on second thought that might not be a bad idea.

When we're booking, what group name are we booking in? PAGAN may not go over well in the bible belt, Pixies may earn us a stay with the men in white coats. Brotherly Love Amity Society of Tennessee (BLAST) may earn a few more brownie points.

Societie Internationale d'Naughtiness (SIN) may have worked in Niagara.

Help me here, folks.

I'll let you all come up with our clever name and just say, yes to Scarecrow. You can put me and my Sweetie down for a reservation. :)
