Or at least making everything taste like bacon is now possible. Who knew?

Have you heard of or tried the new taste sensation of Bacon Salt (http://www.baconsalt.com/)?

Bacon salt they claim is zero calorie, vegetarian, Kosher Certified Seasoning Salt that makes everything taste like real bacon. :thumb:

Check it out!

I just told my veggie boy who sorely misses bacon. Does it have more sodium than salt? LOL I picture bacon and salt. How could you get more salt than salt? Add bacon :p

I'm very disappointed I thought this thread was going to have to do with Kevin Bacon since he has a new movie out this week.

I rock at Six Degrees of Kevin Bacon.

Though this would be good on tomatoes. Sorta like a BLT without the L or the bread.

Sorry to disappoint you Jude... can't please em all... ;)

That's OK. If it really does taste like bacon I would probably love it. So often stuff like this doesn't taste like what it's supposed to taste like.

I might have to try it and report back, I was hoping that had a maple bacon flavor... not in the line up yet. Although, original or hickory might be a good starting point.

Bacon & Kosher...two words you seldom see in the same sentence.

Wondering if this just the flavoring of artificial bacon bits, without the bits...

Always liked the real thing myself...but at the same time, I could eat Bacos by the handful...just don't combine the two...

I used to love Tato Skins chips with bacon & cheese flavor, until I read the ingredients...no bacon, no cheese...oh well, they were good anyway, I had to give up carbs for my blood sugar issues...

Looks good. I love the real, but this might be worth trying. May just have to order some and see how it is. Thanks Salacious! ;)

Tried the Jimmy Dean Maple Bacon once, family was not impressed...mostly it was an interesting aroma, but I tend to prefer pancakes or bacon, both at the same time doesn't do it for me...

MickeyD's has a similar item with their griddlecakes sandwiches, & they had the same effect on me...confused tastebuds...

Whoa! My kid would love this. She invented her favorite bacon and cheese snack when she was about 7. She takes shredded cheddar cheese and bacon bits and nukes it until it's a thick, gooey, nasty concoction and then gobbles it up. I will tell her about the bacon salt. :D

If you go whole hog when eating bacon is that cannibalism?

From the mouth of babes...sounds like something I'll have to try sometime. I've been known to nuke a big wad of shredded mozzarella, until the edges start to crisp & brown...my own little low-carb pizza...a little artificial bacon flavor might be the extra touch it needs...
