Sorry. Not here (http://www.abcnews.go.com/US/wireStory?id=3540573).

What's next? Will they ban running, and any kind of physical activity altogether, thus dooming us to "safe" activities like video games?

Yikes! No dodge ball; no tag; what's this world coming to. Grew up on those games and never heard of anyone complaining.

You'd think if there was one or two bad apples causing problems you could keep them in at recess or have them stay ofter school as punishment. I suppose their parents would simply end up suing the school system for something or another. :rolleyes2

takes too much effort and involvement, db. way easier to just get rid of the game.

Avoid confrontation at all costs.

I suppose they've banned ritual murder and rape as well.

Just because some parent might sue the pants off of the schools they stop all the fun.

I couldn't get the link, but I read the story elsewhere...supposedly they said that some kids were getting dragged into the games that didn't want to be...god forbid we should let our kids use that as a method of learning conflict resolution skills, like we did...

I have to admit, I have some very bad memories of the playground days myself, but it did eventually teach me how to cope...now I see I would have been better served learning how to make others stop having fun if I'm not having fun...they should have taught us how to talk to a lawyer instead...

Was anyone here ever forced into a game of tag? WTF?

I don't think I'll be able to have kids at this point. My head would explode from all the changes.

What surprised (and saddened) me most was that only a few 'rents and kids actually complained about the ban. Most, it seemed, were very happy with the school's solution.
