PIP Participants starting home!

Well, PIP 07 is over now and the folks are on their way home. PF is headed back to Chicago and his flight home. Scarecrow and his lovely wife are on their way home as are IowaMan, Booger and Sodaklostsoul. My wife and I just got the car unloaded and I'm going to take an hour's nap. In an hour and a half, we're meeting another couple and heading to a function near here and then to a dinner tonight with another group. No rest for the weary.

We'll post some photos and a bit of a rundown on the event as soon as I can find the time. Actually, you might even hear from others first. But, I will say one thing ... the group was a great one and their spirit made the weekend a wonderful one that I'll long remember. They and my wife are to be congratulatied and thanked. I feel privileged to have been with them.

Made it home safe and sound. It was a great weekend with a group of absolutely wonderful people. I'm so very glad I made the trip. Even though I was the "newbie" of the group I felt as if I was with friends I have known for years from the moment I arrived.

Thanks so very much to Mr. & Mrs. DB for making all of us feel at home in their little corner of the world. :thumb:

Well.............we just got home 15 minutes ago, had an unexpected 2 hour delay, lost the altanator belt at Fairbury. So.......everything is closed on Sunday and the nearest Auto Zone is like 20 miles away........so while we were trying to get info at Casey's this dude we were talking to, who by the way is from Michigan, told us to get nylons and use that so we walked about a mile round trip in at least 95 degree heat and got nylons. Boog got them on and we started off. Had to check them once but made it to Auto Zone and got a belt. But we are home safe and sound, we at least as sound as we can be, and I'll be back as soon as I take care of kiddo.

Well I'd sure like to have had the pleasure of meeting all of you but I'm grounded this year as I'm slated for some surgery shortly. Damn pinched nerve in my neck. Sorry that kleclere and I didn't make it to Peoria. We have the kids for the remainder of the summer and thought maybe we could of worked it out so we could of came. Well anyway maybe we can shoot for Nashville, hopefully.

I'm so glad everyone had a good time. I wish I could have been there but Mr. Sprinkles had just started a new job and time off was just not an option. And with only one vehicle, which he needed to get to and from work, I couldn't travel alone.
I must say I do envy you, DB, for actually getting Pixies to show up. The get together Murphy and I attempted was a total bust, as I'm sure most of the long timers remember.

And PF...............where the hell was that phone call I was supposed to get from the gathering??? I waited and waited all weekend. :trout: I would have loved a chance to say "HI" to my friends even though I couldn't be there.

You and Murphy really established the concept of Pixies getting together and meeting. Had you not done that, there's the possibility that neither Niagara Falls or Peoria would have ever happened.
