Ingmar Bergman died yesterday in Faro, Sweden. He was 89 years old.
His many films, which include Cries & Whispers (http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0069467/), The Seventh Seal (http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0050976/) and Wild Strawberries (http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0050986/), won the best foreign film Oscar three times.
Woody Allen, another very accomplished film director, once said Bergman was probably the greatest film artist, all things considered, since the invention of the motion picture camera.
One of the greats.
