I've just watched Holiday and as everyone suggested it was perfect. Often I avoid romantic movies even romantic comedies because they run the risk of making my cold cruel heart drip but when I am in need of one I want a really good one. Must sees????

My ex loved "Sleepless in Seattle".
I loved "The Magnificent Seven".
A tender tale of a man, his horse, his gun and some other stuff.

It's always a good time to watch Casablanca.

Ghost got me! I blubbered like a baby.
The Body Guard was another.
But my all time fave and one I still go to for a good cry is A Star Is Born with Barbara Streisand and Kris Kristofferson. I keep hoping he won't die! Oops...did I give it away? My bad!!!
The Notebook was wonderful

How about "A Walk In The Clouds" with Keanu Reeves.

The Notebook was a great call TT! Love that movie!
Other great ones include:
Always (with Richard Dreyfuss & Holly Hunter)
You've Got Mail
Singing In The Rain
Brokeback Mountain
Bridget Jones Diary (I know, I know...it's silly, but I love it)
And no romantic movie list is complete without French Kiss.

Lilith,
It is older than many, but "Breakfast at Tiffany's" is a good romantic movie.
