Some of you may have noticed in my other posts that one of our beloved cats went missing a week and a half ago.

A neighbour of ours found him in their garden yesterday evening.....he'd been dead for a little while.

He was buried last night in a nice little spot in our garden and we're going to go out today and buy a little cross or something similar to mark his grave and a plant to live on in his memory.

Many will remember when both cats arrived as kittens at our house just a short two and a half years ago, and how much we loved them from the start. I'm proud to say that even with the advent of our baby boy, the cats remained as special to us and as doted on as before, and I was looking forward to seeing all three of them grow up and play together.

Sorry to go on and on, but there are just so many words in my heart that need expressing about how much I'm going to miss my beautiful, affectionate, even well behaved little cat.

Good night, my darling little Tigger. God bless.

We can relate to your loss, Lou. When our cat, Pokey, passed away a couple of years ago it really hurt and we still think of the little guy and all the happiness we shared because of his being around.

So very sorry to hear that Lou. Unfortunately, I've lost many beloved pets over the years and know the pain that it causes.

Isn't it amazing how quickly they claim a part of our hearts?

Years ago, I picked up a stray on the way home from work and he became my cat that day. He always came when I called him and wasn't a pain in the ass like some can be. Never had to worry about him. That's what raised the concern when he didn't come in one night. The next morning, I found that he'd been hit by a car. I was late that day because I brought him home to bury him.

I'm sorry for your loss.

It's amazing how they are not just pets but friends and members of the family. Anyone who has ever had and lost a 4 legged friend knows the sadness you're feeling. ((((Puckers))))

A friend of mine always said that you should plant a lime or lemon tree on the grave of a family pet. In the fruit you share a communion with the pet.

Not my taste, but maybe . . . .
