Well after a shitty shitty shit day at work yesterday i decided to phone a local uni just to get some info about maybe applying during the clearing period in Aug. Thinking I'd just get fobbed off with the normal "apply thru UCAS and we'll see what we can do" line I didnt have much hope to get anything. But after speaking to 2 or 3 people I managed to speak to guy that runs the course I would like to do, So long story short, I got in! So come Sept. I'll be a full time "mature" student, Doing Accounting and either Finance or Ecomonics, Get to choose the course in Aug. I can't wait!!
It will mean thou quitting my now crap dead end job (shame that). And getting either a 2/3 night's a week nightshift job or a pretty decent part-time position to make enough to live off. And paying my fee's for 2 years but I dont care its just some great news! FINALLY!!!!

Congrats! College is so much better as an older student. Well I know I was more ready to listen and absorb what I heard while having my own life experiences to add to what I was being taught.

I hope your right lil. Never took the first time i went that serious, far from infact! Spent more time drinking in the union bar than in classes! only lasted a year which amazingly i passed! So the new older, wiser, sober me should do very well..... plus 18 year old girls it will be like dying and going to heaven! Doubt the girlfriend will think like that thought!
Iowa, I dunno how much guts it took, I think it was more having the sinking feeling that in 10 years time i would still be hanging bananas and putting out fruit and veg in a supermarket that made me go for it. Welcome home too,
