Got to wondering a couple of things about movies. Have any of you ever been to a movie you thought was so terrible that you walked out before it was finished?
Also wondering what movie ticket prices are like where you live.
I've walked out on only one movie in my life and that was just a couple of weeks ago, Spider Man 3.
Took in a matinee in Cedar Rapids yesterday for $6.75. Some theaters around here will have matinees for $5. I think the normal prices are around $8.25.

I've had some I wish I did. There was some awful thing with Jennifer lopez as a psychologist with some sort of sicko.
We can go for $5 before noon or $8.25 after.

i don't think i have ever walked out, been bored to tears but never walked out.
we range from 5 to 8 or so as well, and the boy is free for early matinees til summer's end.
Never walked out.
Stopped watching a movie on TV. Fast-forwarded a bunch of Anger Management because I didn't care for it but still wanted to see the ending.
Some theaters have topped $9 for regular prices around here.

I was at the matinee showing of Ocean's Eleven, with my 2nd child, who was still just a wee babe, and baby was NOT happy during the middle part of the show. So I caught the first 1/3rd and the last 1/3rd. I just never got back "into it" so I have never seen the full movie when it came out on disc.
Matinees here are about £4-£4.50 that is $7.93- 8.92 USD, or CAD $8.42-9.47, or AUD $9.53-10.72. :D:D:D

Never walked out. Movies here are $1.00 during the week and $2.00 for adults and $1.00 for 12 & under on weekends. We have an awesome movie theater that is run by volunteers with the manager being the only one that is paid. They, just last summer, updated all the seating and carpeting. Plus we have the Dolby surround sound system so we get all the good movies. We don't always get the movies right away, but we are ok with the wait because of the prices. Our family of 4 can go for under $15 including eats!

There's a $4 one in Cedar Rapids and it's actually the one I usually go to but I really wanted to see Shrek so I spent the big bucks. lol

I've never walked out on a movie. I can usually find something redeeming about any movie, plus if a little research about every movie I go see. Which is usually reading reviews or checking out the website. So I honestly don't understand walking out on a movie. If I spend the $5.50 of a matinee or even worse the $7 plus of the feature, I'm not going to waste my money on something I might hate.
Now there have been movies I didn't like that I saw in the theater but those have all been things my wife picked.

Where do all y'all live that you can spend so little on movies?!? :)
'Round here, tickets are $10. Yes, unfortunately. We do have a second-run movie theater with all shows $2.75 though. And no, I've never walked out on a movie, I usually don't go unless I'm convinced that I will like it.

I learned one lesson early.Never go to the cinema unless you really want see the movie playing there. Sooner or later they will all show up on the cable channel, for most I can wait. The last movie I saw in a theatre was BABEL.

We don't usually go to the regular theaters around here...because of the $8+ price tag plus eats...so if we go, we go to the drive-in that's about 20 mins away.. $5/person and my son is free til next year. Or, I can go to one a bit further away and spend $10/car load. And they both show new releases. The eats aren't bad either. At the $5/person one, you can bring a cooler as long as you leave it inside your vehicle(you can sit outside your car in camp chairs or on the hill side to view)...

Sioux Falls has a $3 theater but it will be forever before the top movies for summer get there. I remember paying $7.50 at the new theater the last time I went.
Here we pay like $18 for the 3 of us to get in and another $20 for snacks.

Never walked out of a theater. I so rarely get to a theater that when I do go it's a movie I know I'll like.
Can't say what the prices are lately cause I haven't seen a movie since "The Butterfly Effect" several years ago.
