My house is falling apart (literally), two of my relationships are falling apart (I'm poly, remember), and my ever-so-dysfunctional family is faling apart.

Oh, and my asthma is acting up again today, when I was going to try and maybe do something about the house falling apart.

Dude that sucks!!!! Take care of your asthma first, you have to be able to breathe. Do you have any friends you can call to help with the house?
Relationships, um.....I guess listen and discuss the events.
Family, maybe pick the least problem one and work your way up?

I feel your pain...seems like everything starts falling apart at the same time, resulting in one giant clusterfuck...I'm up to my neck in home renovation as well, when a bugbite gets infected & is in the process of forming an abcess...soda's right, deal with the personal health issues first (tho I suspect the stress from the other crap was somehow a causitive factor in the health issues), then start knockin em down one at a time...

Well, over the weekend, I was hoping to get the garage door fixed, mow the lawn, get teh gutters and panels that had been ripped off by the recent windstorm back in place, and maybe start working on the new shed.

Wrestled the garage door open far enough to remove the lawn mower from the garage, started mowing the lawn, and the muffler fell off the lawn mower. Turns out, one of the retaining bolts is comepletely missing, and the other sheared off, leaving the tip in the bolt hole. Seem to have burned my finger on the hot muffler from when it feel off the lawn mower (yes, I was using padding to pick it up, I think I butned myself anyway). Got to the hardware store, and got a replacement bolt, put that in place, but that's not going to last long. I need a new lawn mower.

Got the gutters & panels back to where they should be, with the major help of my housemate and a couple of friends.

Garage door is unfixable by me, I need a new one.

Oh, my truck is on it's last bit of functioning; clutch/transmission is going, it's getting nearly impossible to shift [Yes, it's a manual].

Went to a local resturant during one of my breaks in all this work, the fed me onioins, causing a massive headache. Spent last night in a serious daze from the two benadryls I took to deal with the allergic reaction to the onions.

Never got to the shed at all, and I didn't finish mowing the lawn, either.

At least the gutters are done.

Fuck everything.

I can't stand how many things I have to get done around the house, and how I can never seem to string together enough time to actually do them. I wind up (Sunday evening, usually) feeling guilty that I directed my efforts elsewhere. :(

But what little I'm able to cross off the things to do list makes a difference.

Well, went to finish mowing the lawn this evening, and the one remaining retaining bolt for the muffler for the lawnmower sheard off, leaving the tip in the enging housing. In phutzing around with the thing, I discovered that the fuel line from the carburator had also cracked.

The new lawnmower seem to do the job well. There was only enough time before dark to assemble the thing and take it for a short test mow.
