We got home from a friend's house last night only to find out that our apartment got broken in to. ALL of our DVD's, PS2 games, and Game Cube games, plus my son's DVD player (he got from Santa) is GONE!!!! I've got 2 full shelves in a DVD rack that are now EMPTY!!! But that's not the worst thing. I could care less about those things, as they aren't as big of a deal as the fact that who ever did it also went into our laundry room and stole our groceries out of the deep freezer!!! That just totally pissed me off. Probably because this is our short week (as it's just my check and after my car payment, there's not much left). I called my SIL crying this morning because I couldn't make breakfast for the boys ( I had my nephew along with my son last night)--because there was no food other than what was in the fridge and just a little bit in the cabinets. So, I made them some cheezy eggs and my SIL took me to the Sav-A-Lot and bought us a bunch of meat to get us through. But, now I'm considering the "food" that was taken as my good deed for now...I've made my donation so to speak to someone who apparently needed it more than us. (This was my SIL's idea) But still...it freakin' sucks that it happened!!!!!

We've had little visitors twice.

There is now a breed of humans who are a grazing creature, feeding off us.

They need to be bred out yesterday.

SD,
I'm sorry that it happened to you, it really sucks. I'm glad to hear that you are attempting to put a "positive spin" on it, by thinking that whomever took your belongings, needed the food more than you. I hope that you've got renters insuance to help you recoup your losses.

You and your family are safe!! I am sorry for all you lost and being your short week the food loss is a hardship.... but everything will eventually be replaced. Give your son and nephew a big hug and read my solution.....

We get a time machine and go back far enough to give the ass-holes daddys condoms!! Or the big 'V'! LOL :D

......................it freakin' sucks that it happened!!!!!

I'll tell you what sucks is when the insurance company won't pay you for all you lost because you don't have receipts for everything.

That's far more credit than I would willing to give a random person who stole my food.

Hugs.

*big hug* SD, that does suck and you are a better person by putting the spin on it. But your family is safe. Hang in there.

What really sucks is after you find a way to replace the stuff they took, you can't replace the feeling of security you had before...or get anyone to take away the anger & sense of violation that sits in every corner of every room now...

If they went to the trouble of stealing all the food as well it may be a crime of desperation more so than some random jerk or addict looking for a quick buck so they can make a score.

It's really no excuse though. Your personal space was violated.

I'm so sorry this happened to you. ((((SD))))

I'm so sorry that happened to you!

That's the kind of violation that's no fun for anybody.

Stealing your food is a weird thing to do.

Again, I'm very sorry that happened. It's very upsetting.
