Makes me glad I only eat fish - haven't heard of many scares about eating fish... And I'm mildly allergic to peanuts so don't have to worry about the peanut butter. Any I don't make a habit of eating baby food, so I seem to be doing OK!
But I'll take you're advice just to be on the safe side, wyndhy.... :D :69:

Yep like Wyndy said mercury. I'd rather get salmonella than mercury poisoning. Salmonella you only wish you would die. Mercury poisoning is less pleasant from what I have seen. And I know some states put limits on how many fish people should eat from certain sources because of this.

Do you realize that sales of spinach in the US never picked up after the scare?
Spooky.

Or maybe people just finally realized spinach is never gonna make battleships & atomic bombs go off in their biceps like Popeye

E. coli scares the hell out of me for my husband's medical condition. He's on MP-6...which is a low dose of chemo...to control white blood cell count due to Crohn's. It lowers his immune system and he is so much more vulnerable now.
Don't mean to bring down the thread but this shit is getting out of hand! We're very careful with what we eat and how we cook it but it sounds like nothing is safe anymore. Including "organic" and "all natural" things.
BTW...I was gonna mention the mom's name but should have known WI would pick up on it first...lmao!
So...what's a person to do to make sure our food is "safe" to eat? I know the washing and cooking things but how can we ever be sure of anything anymore?

Boil it until it's tasteless. :(
