I am looking to buy a book that is out of print and apparently quite rare since I can't find it anywhere. I thought I would post here about it - Pixie folks have a pretty wide range of interests and maybe you can help me find what I'm looking for!

The book is Early New England Potters and their Wares by Lura Woodside Watkins. It was published in 1950 and reprinted in 1968.

If you have this book and want to get rid of it - please send me a PM!!!

Also, feel free to add your wishes to this list!

My wishlist: A CD of the original Vanity 6 album. It's been out of print for ages and the last person I knew who had one was waaaay back in the late 80s when I was in art school, long before ripping shit on iTunes was an itch in Steve Jobs' balls. I have two classic tracks off this album, downloaded off of LimeWire before the Great Filesharing Crackdown.

Also Prince's Black Album. I had this before, and it got lost in the mix.

:(

I was looking for my favorite book when I was a child for about 15 years. It had HUGE sentimental meaning because my mom did not read very well, yet because this was a repeating pattern should could read it with flair. Skipthisone found it for me within an hour one day. I miss his talents and his heart.

Yeah, I know about that copy Lil - it's been there for months though, so I am assuming they are asking too much for it?

ah so the bargain is more important than the book. For me the book was priceless.

IK... Just found this on Amazon. It's not a new copy, but it's from a 3rd party seller.

Well you see I have part of the book in photocopy - so I don't absolutely need it right away, but I do want to add it to my collection someday.

Edit : Well a professional bookseller just told me this one (http://www.abebooks.com/servlet/BookDetailsPL?bi=706414030&searchurl=ds%3D25%26bi%3DAny%2BBinding%26ph%3D2%26tn%3DEarly%2BNew%2BEngland%2BPotters%2Band%2Btheir%2BWares%26bu%3DStart%2BSearch) is the cheapest I will find... I think I'll wait til I am working again before buying it.

Yeah, that's the thing about vendors..they always want money..lol. The Amazon 3rd party sellers saved me a TON of money over Xmas. A lot of the time some of the things on there are still brand new..and half the price that Amazon has themselves.

In keeping with Black History month, I very much wish to get hold of a few copies of the collectors miniature addition of Ohio Governor and civil rights activist, Salmon P. Chase. These less than 2" high portraits, have been out of print since 1946 but have become dear to me.:) Mr. Benjamin Binion had an extensive collection that was dispersed shortly after I saw it in the 70's. I'll be eternally happy if anybody that has one or two of these send them to me as soon as possible. :D

I'll have to admit, once I googled "Salmon P. Chase" and "portrait" and saw the image results, I laughed my ass off. The first thing that popped in my mind was "only PF'..LOL!!
