A good actor. I remember some of those roles. Farewell sir!

Many people might say "who", which is a shame. He filled his roles very well, and always managed to fit his character remarkably well.

He shall be missed.

He DID make you believe his characters.

I liked him on the screen and off.

I LOVED him on "Ripley's Believe It Or Not"! Jack was awesome in that TV program. But my favorite roles are of course "City Slickers" and "Batman"<---(I watched that 2 days ago for the 17,823,461,583,245th time.) I loved the crusty old guy.

So to quote a line from "Batman"......

......"Thank you, Gentleman, that's all. That's all, Gentleman, thank you."

Not just any actor, the man was a star when it really meant something.

Have a good rest, Mr Palance.

That's really sad to hear. I remember seeing him in "Shane" on TV when I was a little kid, probably five or six years old. Something about him scared the hell out of me at the time. We lived out on a farm and I was certain for about a week or two that he was hiding out in one of our barns and would come out and get me when I went out to give sugar to the horses. It's a memory that I had sort of let slide until I saw "City Slickers" and when it hit me I broke out laughing in the theater. That really is sad news to hear of his passing.
