NASA just announced that the Hubble telescope will get an upgrade (http://www.nasa.gov/home/hqnews/2006/oct/HQ_06343_HST_announcement.html) ! :thumbs:

I'm glad, too, that they're going to upgrade Hubble, but it surprised me that they won't launch until 2008 and that the upgrade will only be good through 2013. Doesn't seem like very long. :(

Yes, I was happy to read this article the other day. Too much money spent on prosecuting a riduculous war in the middle east, and not enough on space explorationl.
