The beautiful colors the leaves turn

Wearing my new suede coat

Sitting in my car at lunch time and not sweating in the sun.

Knowing that Christmas will soon be here. :)

I miss that SO much. :) We haven't been able to burn leaves in the city since I was a kid. Talk about a sensory trigger.:rolleyes2 ALMOST as pleasant as the feel of silky ;)

Warmest weather of the year here is in September and October is a great month also with November and December cooler but still nice. Can drive up to Tahoe or Yosemite if want to see snow.

Vacations can be taken less people at the places you're going and lower rates.

BUT...could do without going off Daylight Savings Time.

This year, I'm relishing everything about it!

Having given up work, nearing the end of 9 months of throwing up and feeling shitty, getting closer to meeting our little one (he kicked me just as I typed that!). Everything about Autumn is great for me this year...roll on November!

Leaves on the paths when walking in the park

The vivid colors, the crunch you hear when walking through the woods, the brisk air in the mornings, the "splat" of wet leaves just pulled from the gutter hitting the bucket, the racing engine of a neighbor's snowblower getting exercised before it's needed for duty, and the constant whine of a child trying to convince their parents that shorts are ok to wear despite the frosty mornings because it's warm in the afternoon.

And now I wanna burn some leaves while sipping hot cocoa.

Ah, autumn. And the political whackos are out in force for the campaign season.

My list is long... the crisp, cool autumn air full of winter promise; cooler nights with the windows open wrapped in blankets; apples, apple cider, pies; elections; football, postseason baseball, and the promise of college basketball season. :)

Orion

That brought a smile to my face. :D This time of year, every night I am out, I look up and the first thing I do if find Orion, the seven sisters and then the Big Dipper.

Fall has always been my favorite time of year. When I was a kid, it was the leaf piles, as I grew older the colors, now I like the mild weather, but throughout my life as soon as I learned about the stars, Orion was something I ALWAYS looked forward to seeing!!!!
