Hey does anyone else think eharmony is a piece of crap?

I haven't heard much about any online matchmaking service being wonderful or horrible.

I do, however, believe that someone out there knows you and fits you like a glove. And you can find them in every lifetime you live.

There's good & bad experiences with all online dating companies, I'd think. What's your problem with them?

I've not tried E-Harmony, but with some of the other sites I've found quite a bit of "false advertising", with the member profiles.

One that leaps to mind, is a profile of a young lady whom the site listed as being from within 100 miles of my location. Yet in her "describe yourself" section, she told her recent move to the Hollywood area, and some of the places that she visits there.

Last time I checked, Hollywood was 1,200 miles from here or so...and not 100.

That's not a problem with the company.

The problem is, when she created her profile, her zip code was in your area. She then moved & didn't think to update her zip.

Steph,
I read more than one profile with similar descriptions. It wasn't just a one-time deal. There were many profiles where descriptions of the women, in this case, didn't jive with the locations. Maybe she did forget to change her settings, but not all of them.

I believe one time when browsing the site, that there was a statement that told users that "the site reserves the right to "create" profiles" to bump up their statistics..or something to that effect.
