We had the Paramedics come to a blacksmiths meet and give a talk on burns and what to do.Don't use the home remendys butter, mustard,or foil ointment or such. They seal the heat in and cause it to burn deeper! They told us that any burn thats not a 3rd degree hold under cool water or use an ice pack, and watch for infection,if you have to wrap it use guase and wrap loosely. 3rd degree see a doctor!

Silvadene ointment really does good on bad burns

Let it dry, keep it dry, wrap it gently to keep the shit out.

Repeat until better.

Sadly no.....only myself to blame. Turned on the wrong burner on the stove-top and smelled something burning, so I turned the wrong burner off, and the correct one on, but there was an empty tea-pot on the burner that was baking its self, and it was hot!

DOH!!
