Sadly, that they're cleaning up the image has only inflamed the bluenoses around here...we have a Hustler Hollywood store that I drive by on my route, clean, well-kept, window displays are tasteful with nothing that one can't see on TV, & I have yet to see anybody being dragged inside against their will...yet almost daily there's at least one, & usually a whole group, of protesters standing outside venting their outrage...I guess that's life here in the buckle of the Bible Belt...

I've found my favorite sex shop in Minnesota, Fantasy Gifts... its a chain. Clean, I like the atmosphere, unfortunately their selection isn't amazing.

Woah...that's such a far cry from the Ann Summers shop on our local high street which has so little stigma attached to it, that I've been in there with my Mum! The idea of protestors picketing outside is ludicrous....we have a tendancy in the UK to knock our country, but when I read something like this, I'm glad I live here, where we seem to be a little more tolerant and open-minded.

I agree.

Even the more seedier sex shops with blacked out windows don't have protestors outside them, but I wouldn't be brave enough to go inside.

I still buy on line, cos I'm shy. :o

LOL - I made Fussy go in one once to buy porn, and I stayed outside, driving the 'get away' car! I'm glad I did though, as while waiting for him to return, I saw a woman walk down the street who used to be a regular customer of mine at the bank I worked in!

:wobbly: Did anybody else notice the list left of the article?......particularly the titles of the 6th, 7th, and 8th sections >>>> we have "Sexual Health" followed by "America Unzipped" followed by "A Low Blow". :bj:

Probably been 30 or more years ago in a city southeast of here, a lady sent her teenager into an adult store to try and buy something (and if he did, she was going to have the police called). What happened was, her son didn't get to even go into the store (they asked for his ID) and they called the cops to have the mom arrested for contributing to the deliquency of a minor. Don't recall any further attempts like that happening.
