Gotta ask...is it just me or is anyone else tilting their head like the RCA dog whenever he speaks?

What are your projections on our next leader's legacy and how he'll/she'll handle the baggage?

And one more question...

Is this a case of "rose colored glasses" or is G.W. really this stup...er...um...sheltered?

I'd love to hear all views...from all countries and all standpoints! I am not out to battle! I am just so taken aback sometimes and I know I only occupy a small portion of this planet but I don't feel as "backwoods" as the prez at times!!!!

Unfortunately, I feel the intelligence and expectations of the American populace is reflected in the performance of our President. Sad to say, but you get what you ask for.

(((((Lixy)))) ~~ every time the man opens his mouth I am embarrassed

Ya know what (((((osuche)))))? I didn't ask for him!

I saw his "persona" and disconnection and I NEVER voted for him. I researched the candidates and voted for the lesser of the two evils each time!

I work around a lot of peeps who DID vote for him and are, now, pitching a humongous bitch every day about his performance! HOW DARE THEY!

I just say nearly the same thing you said...and walk away!

I saw this sticker on the back of a car with paratrooper tags today, "duck fubya"

Currently I am busy with some local elections. We vote on Sept. 5th here. Got some bums I want to throw out!

Somewhere in Texas, a village is missing its idiot.

There are a whole bunch of stop signs in Berkeley that have "BUSH" stenciled in white under the "stop"

What kills me is how in trying to pull off this "I'm just like everyday folks" (something even a cursory look at his background shows he would not have a clue about), he makes a Zen thing about being disconnected...I had hoped the restraint he showed during the recent crisises with Iran & N. Korea (anybody remember them?) showed that he was beginning to (finally) climb the learning curve, but his brutally inept attempt to ad lib his way through this news conference shows that he is either completely out of touch, or just too pigheaded to say, "I goofed, OK?!?"

"I would never question the patriotism of somebody who disagrees with me. This has nothing to do with patriotism."

That certainly wasn't the way things were slanted at the beginning of the war. I wonder what Fox News would have to say now?

Yep gekkogecko...too little, too late!

Now we just have to wait it out and see who we are up against in the next round! I tell ya...they'd better have an a sturdy platform and back it up wholeheartedly when elected. If not, I'm going to the big white house and yank um out all by myself!

^^^ Not a threat (terroristically speaking), but a promise!

I've got a new twist on the old E F Hutton slogan...

"When G W Bush talks, people listen...

...and then say, 'WTF!?!'"

LixyChick

I can't even say WTF scotz. I just sit, dropped jaw, and then look around the room (even if I am alone) and mouth the word "huh"?

Though...I do give GW credit for knowing what goes on in a gyno's office *WEG*...

In other remarks not reported, the President also observed that if you touch a hot stove, it will burn your hand...

Actually, I found this little nugget later in the story even more alarming:

"Before his outdoor remarks, Bush spent time "steering" a U.S. Coast Guard cutter in a simulation room where he was surrounded by video screens offering him a panoramic view of the harbor in Baltimore and gurgling sounds of water.

"Just make sure I don't run into the wall," he joked."
