What are your thoughts on tattoos. Personally, i think most of the ones i see are pretty good looking, although you can get some that look "trashy", but then again, what may be trashy to me, may be perfect to the other person.

Lets see what everyone thinks.

Just because I've seen some bad tattoos, doesn't mean that tattoos look bad.

I think they can look great when they fit the personality of the one sporting them, but they can also look displaced on someone that doesn't fit.

Are you considering one? Do you have any?

Sharp looking ink, but I wouldn't choose it for me. My legs are too thin and I'm not a lizzard kinda guy. That's what I mean about my initial response. That's a great looking design but people would know it doesn't fit my personality.

i like the basic design, but i would like to color the inside designs. maybe green or red possibly.

I am a reptile person, i don't care for the snake tattoos, the lizards i think look better than a snake, too many small details to mess up or color wrong. i have always liked the polynesian, and the hawaiian style tattoos.

Now all i have to do is convince my fiance that they aren't as bad as she thinks they are. the last two times we discussed the topic, she had tears in her eyes.

I would never have a tattoo, and while I agree that some of them look nice, I think untainted human skin always looks better.

So many people have them now that I don't see how they can be thought of as 'individual', which is most people's argument for having them. I am, I think, just about the only person in my office who does not have a tattoo. Surely that makes ME the individual not them.

Why the hell convince her?!

She doesn't like them. If my other half wanted to get one, I too would have tears in my eyes. The thought of someone I love wanting to alter their body permanently in a way that caused them pain just for fun, even though he could see how much I didn't want him to would upset me beyond reason.

And if you're trying to convince her she should have one, then you're just a fool. I've known relationships end over lesser stuff than this.

Its a personal thing it I think. My son has two one is a bit funny and expresses how he sees life I think, the the other is a logo for his truck, chevy logo all ablaze because his 1950 pickup can throw flames.My daughter is getting three small ones on her back.One on each shoulder and one in the center at her neck. I saw the prints they will be cute.S its for sure a personal thing.
