Not to start a flame war but why would anyone buy a Mac?
The commercials alone make me want to punch smug Mac Guy in the face and never buy another Apple product again.

I considered a Mac, but re: the commercials... I watch intently each time, but only because I love Justin Long (smug Mac guy). Not that he makes me want to buy a Mac more.
As for your question: Yahoo indeed uses webcams, as does AIM.

I just hate the commercials because while not blatant lies they don't tell the whole truth either.
The one that really gets me is the virus one. It's not that there are no viruses for the Mac it's just that noone bothers writing them for the Mac OS. Consensus on one of my geek type boards is that hackers figure Mac users have suffered enough already so why mess with them by making a virus for their OS.
The really crappy part is they run that commercial then turn around in the next batch of ads and tell how you can now run Windows on your Mac making it vunerable to all the same things they were just bragging their products are immune to. Of course they don't tell you that.

I use a PC all day at work, and have a Powerbook at home. LOVE IT. It just works - no searching for drivers, excellent in the box software for organizing photos (not for editing of course), reliable, durable, never crashes (I've had to force quit an application maybe 5 times in 2.5 years). Plus, I'm one who thinks good industrial design is worth something, and Apple has that nailed.
