What can I say?

It was a complete joy to meet everyone and share time with them. It's funny how many times with people online you wonder if they would be the same in real life as on here.

I found out that these folks I met are the most down to earth and friendly people just as they present themselves online.

It was a great experience and I would do it again without a second thought.

More to follow........

I am so glad you had a wonderful time and that it (and everyone) lived up to your expectations. Mrs. OF is wonderful and seems to really understand the heart of it all. Plus she has fabulous taste in men ;)

OMG!!!!! It was the most.....the best.......the greatest..........the...........there isn't enough words to describe it all, let me think for a bit.

It's like the ladies ^^^^^ said, everyone is no different in RL then here at Pixies. We truely a family here! We'll be keeping in touch with those close by us for future get together's.

Lilith, we did'nt know what PF had planned for Sat. night's dinner or I would have had Boog set up the video camera. It was awsome!!!!!

A big congrats (and resopnsibility) goes to Steph. I'll let PF explain. :D

So much more we could say but I don't wanna spoil anything PF wants to say so I'll wait.

/me goes to check out what we missed here at Pixies.

I had a great time this week end. It was great fun getting to meeting every one. Too true! :rofl: ...... and that is a tiny sample of one facet of one of the most enjoyable weekends I've truly have ever had. :D

Just got home about a hour and a half ago. Guess what guys, I took a wrong turn on the QEW toward Hamilton. So I just had a nice ride thru Canada and Mich. :roflmao:

We had a great time and second what every has already said. More to come when I am awake. :grope:

P.S. A big thank you to PF & DB for all the work they did on make PAGAN '06 a great weekend. (09?)

That statement was aimed at Lixy, but I can't think of a regular Pixie that wasn't mentioned with a big smile. :) If it will help to understand the atmosphere that was present, any agenda that was available just to provide a direction was not required in any way. Our dinner was extended to continue exactly the kind of visiting and conversation that we had experienced all day and everyone was satisfied they had seen and done everything they wanted to except spend more time together sharing thoughts and feelings for Pixies Place.

It's unbelievable how happy you are to hear that the others have come to feel the same way about our community as yourself and how real and important it is to all of us. The 'real' becomes more 'real' when the real people are looking at you and explaining how they really feel. :D

Got that? ;)

To explain that the focus was a natural flow of sharing while taking in some of the sites is like finding the same grain of sand after it gone from the top to the bottom of the hourglass.

At the end of our dinner on Saturday night, I was not the only one that was on a pink cloud about our meeting so when and where the next Pixie event might take place was casually discussed. When a southern US location was mentioned, Nashville was suggested as a possibility that would let it become another PAGAN. :)

Frankly, it may take 3 years for us to cool down from the heat wave we've been in...if PAGAN comes south, it should definately be in spring or fall for sure...I would hate to have had these folks visit during this month & everybody miss each other because no one would dare leave their air-conditioning behind...
That truly was one of my primary concerns from the start. :wish: An oppressive hot day :hot: would not have been out of order for the place and date we were working with. As it turned out, we could not have ordered a nicer weekend :thumbs: …… or it was the combined Pixie force radiating out. :loveshowe

PAGAN 09 - Pixies Adult Gathering In Nashville. This was first mentioned by OF at the dinner and Mrs OF liked the idea. Then OF started trying to think of other citys that start with the letter N for future PAGANs.
Should be OK as long as we don't get carried away with the "N" thing & end up in Nagasaki or Nairobi...unless we establish a strong Pixie presence in these places...

Actually, Normal would be easy. It's where the Illinois State University is located in central Illinois at the junction of I-55 and I-74. :blink:

Nokomis and Niantic would be a bigger challenge. :boink:

PS .. If you read this earlier, I'd described the location of Urbana where the UofI is located. My mind was drifting (So what's new?). Normal is next to Bloomington only about 25 miles from here. Probably will hold off for a time when OF & his bride can make it back to the states, but it's not too early to start thinking about someplace we could hold another "PAGAN event." Sharni, start filling your piggy bank ... just in case. :) Ideally it'd be a place that might have some appeal (even without PAGAN). Some talk had been made about Nashville (to keep the "N" in pagaN), but other choices could be good. Houston with the Space Center; Atlanta with the Underground and Stone Mountain; New Orleans; Orlando; northern Florida where we could all stay at Lilith's house ( :yikes: ... although we'd no doubt have to ask her before we all showed up. :D ); Yorktown or Gettysburg for the history buffs; San Antonio (Riverwalk; the Lone Star Brewery; & Circus Museum); Peoria (okay, that's a stretch ... but there is a lot going on around here with the Wildlife Prarie Park (bison, deer, wolves, etc. in a natural setting); a planetarium; great museum; zoo; botanical gardens; gambling boat; stern wheeler river boat rides ... you could do worse); etc. Of course, we had talked going south ... so input from our southern friends would be especially welcome.

A plus would be if there's one or more Pixies in the general neighborhood who could help spot lodging (economical but nice); restaurants; sights to see; places to gather as a group; ... stuff like that. Might also think about transportation ... good Interstate Highways; rail or air links; things like that.

Any suggestions??

I would suggest Branson,Mo. reasonable rooms, decent to really good food,music shows for most all tastes for the nitelife,close by in Springfield is a civil war battle field for the history buffs,and Bass pro not just a store but a walk thru meausem.It is some what centrally located for a lot of Pixies.Also there are 2 lakes right there all in a National Forest,Hikeing,lots of nice campgrounds.

I think it's only been 5 months and 15 days according to the calendar, but I know that has to be wrong. :confused: It was either last week or a year ago. Both feelings keep surging through me as I re-read these threads. :)

There are a lot of good suggestion ^^^ up here for a next event. Right now a traveling puppet show is enough of an attraction for me to want to be at another get-together with Pixies.

PAGAN was a get together held at Niagara Falls, ONT last August. Eleven Pixies attended. Mainly got to know each other, spend some time together, had breakfast and supper together on Saturday and breakfast on Sunday. All but two stayed at one hotel but all eleven got together to go shopping; see some of the sights. Had a great time. At dinner we goofed around (see some of the photos) with a game hosted by "Red Green" at which Steph won the honor of being the "Guardian" of the colors with flags from Canada, Australia and the US (representing the three countries with PAGANS present).

Does that help?

Now, several of us are hoping to get back together one of these days and maybe be joined by several other Pixies who weren't able to attend last summer.

Oh, yeah, PAGAN stood for Pixies Adult Gathering At Niagara. :)

I doubt our next gathering will be this year but I sure hope EVERY Pixie possible can be there after what we experienced at PAGAN. It's hard to know how our postings come across to those that weren't able to be a PAGAN 06, but it was truly a super thing for all of us that were able. You can go back twenty sum pages, to the start of this thread (one of the best on our board in my opinion ;) ) and see how this unfolded. It starts slow, gets serious, goes to silly, turns to excitement and then the shock of how really great it was for all of us. I don't think the next gathering will be as close to you as this one was, Irezumi Kiss, but I can promise it will be something you will never forget when you get back from PAGAN 08. ;)

PAGAN makes Pixies real in a way you cannot achieve just on-line. It was a great get-together of real people I am proud to call friends.

Hopefully the next will be somewhere more accessable for the southern Pixies.

Excitement confirmed. Those that went to Niagara I think are all excited about the possibility of getting together again. I know my wife and I are.

Nashville sounds terrific to me, although, I must confess, other than Opryland and the city's association with especially country music, I'm one of the ignorant.

Of course, we'd be up for about anywhere ... even Lil's house. (JK - although OF did give it rave reviews.) :D

It's only about a year and a half away, folks. Put the coins in the piggy bank! :)
