what a remarkable person Sharni/Alassė is.
My 10 year old daughter had a school project that involved packing up her favorite stuffed animal and sending him off to travel the world. She was mortified at the prospect of never seeing him again, but didn't want to not participate. My thoughts immediately turned to Pixies and to Lilith's box. Um, her Pixie's Box, that is. I pm'd Alassė with the details and she was quite receptive to helping us out. We mailed Henry to Australia and let me tell you...he had a blast. We never, ever, ever expected to get back what we did. There were photographs a plenty. Henry at the beach, Henry driving a bus, and Henry disguising himself as a koala. There were postcards of all the places he visited and of sites around town. There was a beautiful book about Allasė's area. And there was Vegemite. :D We sent Henry with a journal to record his adventures, and it came back full. All in all...Henry had a glorious time. He slept well last night. :D
I can't thank you enough, and I thought the least I could do was to publicly brag about what a great person you are.
Thank you very much.

what a unique flat stanley type project. I'm glad to hear Lil WildIrish-ess got her Henry back safe and sound. Also pleased to hear that Alasse took Henry on a few pleasant adventures on the other end of the globe.

"He's American ya know' used to be my answer to many a stare.....they'd sorta go 'Oh , ok', then they had this 'dont upset the crazy woman look' in their eyes
All in All Henry and I had a ball.....I'll miss his little furry butt
Ok, I just have to ask ... can I be next? :D ... wonder how much it would cost to ship me?!?!?! ... probably more than the airfare ... LOL! ... Alasse, you're one in a trillion and we love ya!!!! ((((((Alasse))))))

I don't normally get into the "warm & fuzzy" stories, but this is the tops...just goofy enough to be appealling, & obviously a great learning experience for the little WI...& proof again that there's no better place to call home than pixies, & no better group of friends to have...esp. Sharni...

I would love to have Henry's adventure shared with you guys! My daughter brought everything to school to share with the class so I can't scan any in yet but if Alassė has extra prints...that's great! Everyone I've told this story to (and the list is very long) has been as amazed as I have. It really was a remarkable response and I can't thank you enough.

I think I know where Sharni/Alassė got her enthusiasm, creativity and thoughtfulness from.
Her parents took Henry for a spin while he was in Oz, and just yesterday...my daughter's class received a rather sizable box of goodies from them. Items included more pictures of the places Henry visited, some more Aussie friends, and a real (and hopefully not very accurate) boomerang! The teacher is thrilled with the items and the entire class is having a great time learning about everywhere Henry was.
The paperclip was part of a homemade bracelet she put on him. She claims it was an effort to be creative before she got beading supplies for Christmas, but I think it was really an attempt to get Customs to open the box! :D
