Do you have one of the top 50 jobs (http://money.cnn.com/magazines/moneymag/bestjobs/top50/index.html)? Do you think the list is accurate?

Nope I don't.

Hard to say on the accuracy.

Allegedly, I have one of the jobs. I personally don't think it should be in the top 50, but only got there due to the growth potential thanks to legislation of a few years ago.

Define "top".

Mine isn't there, but neither was "stunt masseur for the terminally beautiful".

I'm with OF, how do they rate these jobs? How much money, or does personal satisfaction enter the equation at all? I see "lawyer" up high on the list, & I'm sure it's a high-paid gig, but who wants a job where you have to look yourself in the mirror every morning & resist the urge to apply the razor in a linier motion across the throat? (I'm having a mental image of a neighbor of mine, whose mug is on tv screens all over town because he's defending an *alledged* wife killer in his related fraud/theft trial)

The list is wrong. I didn't see Pixie Moderator on there.

2 factors here, moose...#1, it's US dollars on the chart, while I have no idea what the conversion rate is, that would make a big difference, and #2...it's an average, which means while some IT's may be shittin' in high cotton, there's likely a bunch at the bottom of the pile as well...

Yeppers ................... looks to be pretty darn Close to the Facts. I just wish I could retire and stay that way.

I've had a number of those jobs & since I like what I do, I'd say it's accurate. The pay scale is pretty crazy, tho', even allowing for the exchange rate.

In Canada, only the creme de la creme editors make $100,000 a year. The higher pay rates are usually for columnists. One of the highest paid columnists/reporters for a newspaper I know makes $250,000.

Actually, our top-paid TV anchors make only $2-3 million/yr. Compare that to Katie Couric's latest deal -- $25 million for three years or something like that?

They expect them to live on THAT?!?

I'm on the list, though I am very surprised to have made it.

However, I'm not surprised at all to learn that I am grossly underpaid. Figures!
