Alright, what does everyone think about this story of the Duke Lacrosse team and the stripper?

Do you think they violated her?

Do you think she made it up?

Does it matter whether or not the players yelled racial slurs at her?

Why did she not have a handler with her (you know the big guy that carries the stripper's boom box)?

Should the players' season have been cancelled based on the accusation?

It's been an issue we've been discussing at work, just wondering what the thoughts were here.

I have only followed it so far to know the Coach resigned. I need a link to an article with the whole story. Anyone?

I don't know nearly enough about the story to make any decisions.

It is a no-win situation as far as the racial angle goes. One of our beloved social activitists is not involved (Jesse Jackson).

The boys on the team are tainted property whether or not anything happened.

Coach Knight,

Perhaps it is just my reading of this particular article, but the initial request for the suspension of league competition originated with the players, and was not imposed upon them.

I caught just a headline of the paper saying the defense said that the DNA exonerated the team. Is that true?

There was no DNA of any of 46 men tested on or in the lady or her clothing or any other belonings. She said that she had scratched at least one of them, but there was no matching DNA under her nails. The prosecutor is still going ahead with the case.
