I'm been coming to Pixie's since before I was old enough to even be here -- not the forums, just the site. I don't know if I should admit that, but it's true. Anyway, I'm old enough now & have been for a year, but have never posted.

Bleh, what I'm wondering is, how did this get started? Who's the brains behind the project? Well, not project, obviously. I'm just wondering how it all got started. :]

I know they say that there's no such thing as a stupid question, but regardless, mine feels a little silly. Sorry if it is!

A lady called Kim started it....was originally a UK based site

Kim had to give up running it and it was taken over by the current owners and became a US based site.

It's been going for years and years and hmmm i think its 5 site changes...

The initial site was actually a series of threads and replying posts that were chiseled into stone tablets on top of a mountain. Someone saw a really hot bush and decided to discuss it with other like-minded people.

With the invent of easier ways to communicate...Pixies evolved with the rest of the world. Envelopes of polaroids were "Pictures of Men and Women", Bathroom partitions were "Sex Poetry and Stories". The most recent "renovation" took place just after Al Gore invented the internet as a giant trap for perverts so we'd all be together in one place when the Christian Conservatives are ready to smite. :D
