Sharni Readmitted

Not sure if I'm in the right thread as it has been a long time since I've been here.

Ok Australian time 9:30pm sunday feb 26th ( sorry you will need to work out time times zones)
Sharni has been readmitted to hospital.

We became very concerned about her wound, and took her to the emergency of our local hospital, the doctor on duty took one look and a disgusted sniff of Bill, and announce that sharni would not be going home tonight.

A bit of relief as she will be better cared for in hospital, than what I can provide her here at home,

To say I am worried is an understatement, but Sharni made me promise to let all pixies know, I will post more as I find out myself tomorrow.

I pray that everything is ok with her, but other than that I can tell you no more at this stage.

Sharni came through the operation feeling good with all vitals looking good and they did NOT have to do a skin graft. :D

They are telling her she will be in the hospital for a week to be monitored, but she is in very little pain now. :) They have her on self administered pain meds and she is reported in good spirits right now.

We should have more updates after Bilbo’s visit tomorrow morning, Oz time.

She is going to need a concentrated effort to get past the psychological.

We need to keep reminding her that her sexy status comes from the person living (and loving)

Don't swamp the girl, but give her a sea of support to float on.

Thank you all so very much for the words of comfort, and your concern for Sharni, it means so very much to both of us.
Big thanks to Panty for putting up with my late night and early morning msg's, and for passing update's on to you all. I felt in the wrong mood to be posting myself, and for putiing up with me panty thank you so much.

Personally I have been very humbled by the concern expressed here, not only for Sharni but also for myself, and from many of you I have yet to meet, you all have shown me that my girl is very much loved by you all.

I have just returned from the hospital ans Sharni is in great spirits, She in in no pain (except for the one in her arse that she has been sitting on for too long :D ). It is wonderfull that they did not need to do a skin graft, and Sharni has told the surgeon that her leg thanks him for that small mercy.

Also Sharni has not lost all of the infected nipple, and with the closure of the wound has only left a small divit, where the nipple was and not a large hole, She is required to remain ing hospital under observation for a full week while the teasts are carried out to determine the exact problem.

She still has her sence of humor, as well as her ability to remind Panty that they still have not incerted the sweetness that he requested, and she will be showing him that as soon as possible.
Also the sugestion of supplying her with a laptop and line connection, she thought was a bloody brillient idea, untill tolf that she is not allowed to tun it on in the wards LMAO.

I will be returning to the hospital later and will keep you all updated.

But Agian thank you all so very muc for the concern and well wishes, it is very much appreaciated

The boredom is definitely the worst thing about hospitals. But at least she can be cared for 24/7 and you can relax a little bit and rebuild your reserves for when she is discharged and needs you to look after her again.

Ok, latest is:
Sharni is feeling a bit tired, but think this is due to the amount of dirps and monitors hooked up to her at the moment ( she is looking like an old tude radio), and they are pumping her full of antibiotics, while they figure out exactly what the problem was.
But other than that, she is very happy, and glad to have the procedure over with, I'm heading of to bed for some well over due sleep.

They may be understating it in type, but I can feel everyone on pins and needles (pardon the rather inappropriate pun), waiting with high hopes of good news from down under! I (and my husband) have been discussing Sharni's progress daily. We both send our best....we've been worried about her.

As for the tiredness, her body will need time to recover. Plus, it's been my experience that staying in the hospital isn't all that restful -- the nurses wake you up to give you meds, food comes at odd times, and someone is *always* awake and making noise.

I hope the hospital time speeds by, so Sharni is well enough to be able to come home and fully recover in the peace and comfort of home.

Good news is Sharni Officially does NOT have staph, Although she does have a very nasty bug, that they are treating now, and she only has one drip stuck into her now, Sharni is in great humor, and is up and about as much as the nurses will allow her, She will remain in hospital untill Monday Local Time, but will be on antibiotics for around 6 - 7 weeks.
Other good news is that the divit thought to be a result of removing the nipple has rounded and she just looks now like a normal breast minus the nipple, so everything now looking even better than yesterday, she is even looking forward to getting back to work LOL, must be despartate for something to do.

So there ya go people, everything is fine with our girl, and I only hope that it continues to be everything she hopes for.

They do say this is only a minor surgery, as it will last less than 1 hour
Well i bloody well hope so

I can't stop seeing it as the 3rd in 4 weeks, and no sugery is minor if you are required to go under general.

If this is not cleared up this time for my girl,
you WILL hear me scream, I can only hope that everything goes well and they are able to remove ALL of the infection this time.
Although, (small mercy as it is) this time around the wound has no smell to it, I'm clinging to that as it now is not septic.

And I would like my girl home here with me.

I know that it is frustrating, to see one you so deeply love in and out of trauma...but it sounds like this "should" be the last of it.

Sharni has come out of this op flying high on yippie beans.
Have only just returned from the hospital, so she is still a little incoherrent to say the least. Sharni asures me she is fine, so it is just a wiating game now to see if they have all of the infection.
Sharni also tells me that she will remember everything she said tonight but somehow I do not think that to be true.
All we can do now is let her rest and pray she will fully recover.

Never gave a recorder a thought, and yes there were many get out of jail free statements made.
one thing they had to replace the PICC line Sharni had, so this is now the 12th hole in her for the drip lines, she said that quite proudly last night.

Ok I am prepared to do the happy happy dance again.
Sharni is looking much better tonight and is not longer flying high.
The Drain is clear and the flesh aroung to infection is nice and pink.
Only problem she had was with a sloww release antibiotic patch that did not agree with her, and since it's removal, Sharni has been getting better every min.
I do hope that she is feeling better, so she can get on with life and what ever she wishes to try
