What method of technology do you use for voice communication? What do you like or dislike about it?
Personally, I just flipped over to the strictly mobile world and can now take all the phones off the walls.

Tin can and string works best to keep others from getting a hold of you when you don't want to be bothered. Just leave me be. :p

Have to agree here...but I use wireless and a landline with an eye on the caller ID

I have landline...i use it where possible cause its a cheaper rate
I have a mobile...i like it cause i'm accessible in and emergency...but it can be a bitch cause it tends to ring at the worst times *LOL*

I use land for local and have one at the house for emergencies but mobile for most everything.

We use land at home because our crappy cell phones hardly work inside our house. If they did, I'd cancel the home phone since the cell has free longdistance and I've accumulated like 5000 rollover minutes.

I'm a holdout and use only landline. A few times this year I've thought about getting a new cell but I fear I'd abuse it like so many people in the city. I've heard the most intimate and most inane convos on the streetcar.
I often sit next to people who scroll through their list trying to find someone to talk to on the way home from work. Read a book, I want to yell at them! Er, I'll head over to the pet peeve thread. :)

i have a pre-paid cell that i use for only in the van when i am travelling for emergency use and sometimes to let the person whom i am going to see, know that i am in the area.
otherwise i am land line and VOIP to talk to Mayhem.

Before the acquisition of my current cell phone, I couldn't get a signal in or around my house for nothing! At least now I get two bars...three on a clear day! :D
I use land and cell equally.
