So, a revival of an old thread got me to wondering:
Who used to hang around here, and doesn't anymore, but really should (alternative phrasing: whom do you miss as a Pixies' member?) ?

Skipthisone...the rest are where they are and while they may be missed, there are new friends who come along to take their place everyday.
Cheyanne does not visit as often as I would like.

STO definitely leads the list . . . I'd like people to stop by & update us on life. It was just going through old threads that I saw how different Pixies is now & it made me nostalgic.
2-4-tea, Nubian, Christine, legend, Diva, SFC (I didn't know her but love her posts), Coach Knight . . . so many other that will come to mind later . . .
It's also interesting how some have stuck around for years while others come & go. Such is life, I suppose.

Unfortunately I didn't get to know many of the people most of you are listing. Since I've been active there have been some that come in and out for a bit tho. Haven't seen Studmuffin who was pretty active at one time....or Salacious.
Like a few have said already, skipthisone is the first to pop out in my mind tho. Didn't know him long but proud to say I did get to know him even for a bit.
I miss German Steve and all the fun we had in the erotic poetry section writing our dirty little ditties.

I've not been around long enough to know many of those mentioned ... but I've dug through the old threads from time to time and think many of them seem interesting.

There have been alot who stay awhile and disappear never to be seen again. I like it when old friends drop by and say hi and let us know what they're up to.

WildIrish,
I wouldn’t even know how to go about getting useful information. It is interesting to review who has remained and who has not. I also find interesting those who remain active, but no longer post.
Perhaps the NIH could provide a grant to study these issues. I’ve seen some of the grant requests which are approved, and I’m sure all it needs is to be dressed up in appropriate terminology…

I think most of us go through cycles in our lives where we have things that keep us away from Pixies or moods that we suffer that make us just not want to interact. Personally, I've had a few work related projects that kept me busy during the days. And I've had times where I was stressed out over work and home stuff, and it's fouled my mood to where I just didn't feel like posting much. Perhaps I didn't want to sour the board...or maybe I just needed to fester a bit. Don't know. But that's what happens with me.
Doesn't sound like a very interesting finding, huh? ha ha
When I see someone leave or come back, I just think that the real world interupted their time here. I know that personality conflicts can occur, but true friends recognize them and work around them. And Pixies are friends, right?

Do you think it would help if we started putting pictures of the missing Pixes on the side of condom packages?

Great idea, Booger, only we'll of course, have to go with the most bizarre pics that they've dared to post.

Yep yep yep, that's it for me, real life stuff often gets in the way of posting....I come and go and come and go, this last time taking a year or more off mostly due to health issues. I'm always so grateful to be accepted back into the fold after having been *gone* for so long.

WildIrish,
Just as we are interrupted from time to time, people who no longer post here have probably left for prosaic reasons. But the difference is that we ARE still here and they are not. I find that interesting, intriguing even.

Please don't assume I was suggesting you don't. It just sounded like you had an idea as to why some leave and not return.

WildIrish,
No more than anyone else. But I do think it would be interesting to learn why those who have left did so. It is easy enough to find out why people stay; not so for why people leave.
High expectations and shifting alliances.
We all post hangin on to that thread of possibility that one day we're going to meet the person we are flirting with for wild passionate sex. We're human and need attention and feedback. When we go back and forth with a particular member for a few days as if we are the only two people on the site(we've all done it---admit it!) it can be misleading to a new Pixie(high expectations). When the back and forth posting stops(shifting alliances) one is left to wonder why.Personally,I think its great and when it does come to a sudden halt I just chalk it up to a wonderful experience and fun conversation.I then think ----"Who can I flirt with (or fuck with!) now?" and move on.
This is just my opinion...I could be wrong.
