Do you feel sexier now than you did five years ago?
Why or why not?
No.
Because I get (a lot) less sex than I did 5 years ago.

I am older, fatter, uglier and generally I dont feel as good as I did about most things now compared to five years ago. I think I am a better person now though.

Yes, much. Pixies.

I'm with Lil on this one. Pixies alone has made a dramatic impact on my life, allowing me to more fully explore a side of me I'd kept hidden for many, many years.
Not even taking Pixies into account, I feel sexier now simply because I *like* myself more than I did five years ago. I like the person I've allowed myself to become, slowly but surely, over the last five years. Major external changes, major internal changes = someone who's happier, more self-assured, and more willing to open herself up to great sexual enjoyment.

Well, I have to say yes I do, I am only 21 so that may explain alot, but I was a very mature 16yr old, maybe hard to beleive but true lol

Five years ago wasn't a particularly sexy part of my life, but I feel a lot less sexy than I did, say, 8 years ago, or 3-4 years ago.
Mainly because I'm a lot fatter and therefore don't receive anything like the male attention I used to. I've never been the kind of woman who gets whistled at by builders, but being at this weight, I notice that I don't even get smiled at/doors opened for me. I've learned that being an unattractive woman is the same as being invisible to men who don't know you.

I'd have to say no, five years ago I was at a lower weight and much more confident in myself. Hopefully in the next five years I will be able to say I feel sexier than I do today.

I'd say no. Looking alot older, feeling alot older, have lost alot of wieght due to stress and other things. Also alot of the reasons mentioned above. Way out of shape. :(

Very interesting replies, and I love the candor.
I feel older. My back acts up way too often, my hair is greying almost as fast as it's thinning, I've lost the "tightness" that my body once had from martial arts, and in general...I feel tired.
But damn, I feel sexy! And a great deal of that is because of Pixies.
Lou - I'd smile and hold the door for you. And you can bet I'll respectfully appreciate your body as you pass by.
And maddy...you made quite a move leaving Texas for CT! Pardon the expression, but that takes real balls. You look great, from what I remember of the old pictures (hint, hint, hint :D ) and you've got a lot to be confident about. Rumor has it you polish up nice for holiday parties too. :)
Aqua - You're still a sexy beast in my book. ;)
NHKG - Wait until corn season hits! Mr. NHKG will freak out! :hot:
wyndhy - I beg to differ...you look sexy as hell! :slurp:
Cobalt & Bob - Growin old ain't for sissies! :D
Da-Nuff - OMG...21 years old? I didn't feel sexy at all when I was 21! You're way ahead of the game!

I feel much sexier now than I did five years ago. Of course, that would have put me too at 16... At 16, I had never been kissed (only got my first kiss at 19). At 16, I was ugly, or at least I perceived myself that way... Since then I have learned to love myself, and have been loved. Pixies has been a tremendous help for me in my road to sexiness.

I dont know if the word is sexier or not...but I do feel a lot better about myself today than even a year ago. More confidence in myself, feeling a lot of peacefulness in my life and being able to stand up for myself has a lot to do with it.
5 years ago.....didn't feel sexy at all, wasn't in the greatest health and just felt ugly

I feel sexier simply because I have someone in my life whom makes me feel sexy =) And is a constant boost to my self-esteem. I mean, how many guys do you know that almost daily compliment you and poke you if you're putting yourself down? And I mean guys whom you are /not/ dating. =) He's a life-saver... the cherry kind lolol

I feel sexier now - maybe something to do with my age. I read somewhere that 38 is a woman's sexual peak, and it definitely feels that way :D Without a doubt I am hornier now than ever before! Only trouble is, if this is the peak, then its only downhill from here... :(

Yes, I am definitely sexier than 5 years ago.
I suspect that my capabilities have waned, but how I approach my sexual relationship has grown,
largely due to the input from my sexy friends here.

Than 5 years ago? Yes. I've gotten some personal illness issues under control and I'm not taking hardly any medication now. I've convinced myself that I hate fast food (although I have still to convince myself that I hate eating out, which would be better). I go to the gym 3-5 times a week, which gives me an overall level of physical fitness I didn't use to have.
However, if you were to ask me whether I'm sexier than I was last year, the answer would be no...I've gained a bit of weight and I've had a really tough year, and I've not been feeling very sexy recently.

Sometimes yes, sometimes no.
I am constantly horny but that is different from feeling sexy, I think.
Physically, I exercise a decent amount and am in good shape for a guy 40. No real gut, good muscle tone, etc. Never had a six-pack gut and probably never will...but it is trim. So it isn't that I have any physical things that make feel on again/off again.
I think it is more having young kids and the consequential inability to be spontaneous that does it to me.

I would go with yes because with a little age (oh hell I'm almost 31) I'm a whole lot more comfortable with my sexuality and much more open to a greater variety of things.

So, is a streak of pure white hair (natural) in otherwise coppery-blonde long hair sexy, or should I break down and start coloring it? I am having some doubts about my sexiness factor.

I spend an extra $60 to have a big chunk lightened like that. Surely it must be sexy or it wouldn't cost so damn much.:D

Ironic how incredibly sexy people don't see themselves that way, isn't it?
I, of all people, should understand why, but having similar feelings and thoughts doesn't explain it. I never thought I was all that sexy, and getting the feedback I did here really helped boost my self-esteem. What I always thought of as shortcomings were praised, and so many people looked within me to see things I didn't.
People around me notice the difference in me now too. It's like a light inside of me has been turned on. ( no jokes from that fuzzy lamp in the corner! :p )
Absolutely. I'm sober,confident and generally don't give a fuck.
Let me explain: I used to be obsessed about how I looked before I walked out the door, checkin' this...fixin' that..etc. just to run to the store to buy milk! Now I just grab my keys and run out the door, sometimes in sweats and an old t-shirt and sometimes with a "I've been slummin'" hairstyle.I get more looks and smiles now than I ever did.....because I just don't give a fuck and the confidence to think that way shows regardless of how I'm dressed.
Note:don't get the wrong impression,I am a clean person,I just don't take a shower before I go to a convenience store!!

Hmmm ... probably about the same. which, given my age, might be considered a plus. :)
Pixies definitely helps a person in touch with how they feel about sex and their own sexuality. But, what else would expect from the best site on the web? <---- Make that a smiling shrug. :D

I really feel no change over the last five years. I've always been fairly comfortable in my own skin, though never thought of myself as much of a sexual creature.

Pixies did so much to bring me out of my shell and help me to feel comfortable with myself. I'm not surprised to see examples of how it's done that with other people as well.

No question I feel sexier now than I did 5 years ago. Pixies did a lot when I first started 9 years ago to help me view myself as sexy, and that formed a foundation for what I still feel. But for me a lot of it is maturing, knowing myself, and accepting myself. You spend a lot of your youth in self-doubt and self-critique. There have been points in my life where I was empirically more sexy, according to general physical standards, but true sexiness shines from the inside out, I think. I think of my younger self, and while she might've been cuter and more fit, I'll take the current me, thanks. She knows what to do with what she has. ;)

You're very sweet. :) But the answer is in the question: you asked if we FELT sexier, not if we were, empirically sexier (if such a thing can be measured; I don't think so). But I'm pretty sure you'd have to feel me first to start that line of scientific inquiry. ;)
