There is a nude beach not too far from where we live. Hubby and I were going to visit tomorrow and take some fun pix. Unfortunately, the beach will be closed because the Atlas rocket didn't go up today...Bummer! I guess we will just have to stay home and take some pix in the back yard and anywhere else that turns us on. LOL

NOt sure what the "Atlas Rocket" is!?
Obviously, I am not the only one (seeing as I am the first response to this thread and it was posted around 3pm today)...but then, I AM the "curious one" (<---self proclaimed) round here...LMAO!
So...sweet thing? Do elaborate please!
Oh...wait! I just had an early morning recollection (musta been about 5am or so)! The Atlas Rocket is the ship that will take 9 years to get to Jupiter to take pics? If that ain't it...I'm still at a loss!
BTW...they closed the only nude beach at the shore that we frequent in the summer. It's in N.J. and was called Higgin's Beach. Seems that since G.W.B. was elected...there is no such thing as nudity in this country!
I'd kill for a pic of him in the shower with a new suit and tie on!

Actually, it is going to Pluto not Jupiter but, yes, that's the one. Can you tell I live on the Space Coast? LOL

Actually, the probe is going to Pluto by way of Jupiter...the idea is to use Jupiter's gravity to help the thing haul ass to Pluto. Forget what exactly the time savings that little trick of spacial physics was supposed to bring about.
Crap, I was away from the news sources today, I was wondering if they managed to get it up. Sorry to hear they didn't.
Anyone know when the next launch window is?

Yes. I watched it go up. My daughter's were very worried about it because if it had exploded they would have had to put the schools on lockdown. UGH! I'm glad it went safely. Now I can go to the beach. LOL

Yay! I was hoping it did, but once again, I've been away from the news sources until a few minutes ago.
ST: the only real reason the school would have had to been put on lockdown is because of the excessive demands of the whacko anit-nuke activists. The thing is powered by a small nuclear reactor that , if the whole thing did some how go off on some uncontrolled nuclear reaction, still wouln't wake up an insomniac on benzedrine.

I wasn't worried about it. However, all three of my girls schools were required to have lockdown drills last week because of the rocket. My girls wouldn't have even given it a second thought otherwise.
