Good Morning Pixies,
Would anyone like to start a daily thread? Whats on your agenda for today?
Well, I have to get some cleaning done today, get DS on the school bus, then work ( a short day :) ) 11-5.
Tonight is a family b-day party. I'll have to go back and post on the Pixie Power thread for that one!
Also, I'd love to try and read some Pixie stories. Seems I never have the time.
What are you up to today?
Hugs

Work, obviously, but it's Friday, which means there will be doughnuts and Danishes provided this morning, I'll get an extra 15 minutes at lunch to deposit my paycheck, I'll go out to lunch with the girls, and we all stop work at 4:00 for cocktail hour. :D After work, I'll be picking up the kids, spending some time at the gym, cooking dinner, and talking to my honey.

It's Friday again! I'm jealous of IAKG AGAIN because she doesn't even partake in the FREE BEER at work (grumble grumble).
It's jeans day at work and that makes me happy. Why don't they have bathrobe day? I'd love that! Towel day? Why the hell not?
It looks like work will be crazy busy until the first fiscal quarter ends so I'll be doing tons of work today & will probably have to shop for some new work clothes tonight. Also, I will buy my first pair of jeans in a zillion years (my mommy usually sends me jeans but they're not the hippest. Sorry, Mom! She has something about buying me pants without back pockets. Yeah, not the hippest.)!!!

All I have to do is help a friend by giving her a ride, then wash the windows of my car, maybe spit some firewood. Damn that's way to much stuff to do!

Aboslutely nothing except going out to dinner with the family tonight. Our daughter turned 15 a couple days ago and we are going to celebrate. She also was selected as an alternate to a week long ROTC camp this summer, something that makes me so proud of her.

Maybe she likes the way your ass looks. :D
Woke up at 6:20 today. Fed the kids and put them on the bus. Came in to work, where I am right now, and will be until 5:30 or so. When I go home tonight I won't have to cook supper because Mrs. WI purchased some kind of shelf or something that we need to pick up before the store closes at 8:00 tonight. We'll bring it home, lug it upstairs into place in my daughter's room, and then I'll put all the kids to bed. Hopefully by now we'll have had something for dinner. Then I get to do some laundry and run the dishwasher. Mrs. WI will need a snack soon, so I'll toast a bagel. "Toast the bagel once, then put cheddar cheese on it and toast it just long enough to melt the cheese...but be careful not to burn it. And don't let the cheese drip all over the toaster oven. And some orange juice too? Only three ice cubes though...more than that and it's too cold, but it needs a couple or it doesn't taste right."
Then I take a shower and it's time for bed.

Will you marry me? If you respond quickly, we can do it today....it's only 6:45 pm PST.
:D
I promise I won't make you put ice in my OJ. :p

For today - 1/14:
Finish perusing all the threads here at Pixies - make my kids do their chores and then watch the local football team from the comfort of my own home.

Welllllll...we had an 8 a.m. basketball game (MAN, I LOVE that on a Saturday), followed by a make-up karate class for my son. My daughter and I did a little grocery shopping while he was there, then we picked him back up and came home. The kids are regulated to their room until it's clean. That'll happen about the second Tuesday of next week, I'm thinking. Since we've had lunch, it's gloomy outside, and I'm kind of lazy today, a nap is in order. :) I'll finish taking the tree apart after that, then do some more cleaning and laundry before we sit down with a bowl of popcorn and watch the Patriots tonight.

OK, so this week I've just started rejoining the honest folk in the workforce (sort of) after 2 1/2 years of self-(un)employment...driving my van around town (& beyond) as a courier, & Friday was a most interesting day to be on my own...started the day with heavy showers that made the roads slick, with strong winds coming after, making for not much fun driving a minivan...& the first run of the day involved delivering a package to my last place of employment, & placing said package into the hands of the bitch (& former schoolmate) that canned my ass not so long ago...(of course I kept the smile on my face as I thought of curses I might rain down on her...) a later run involved a floormat, wrapped in cardboard, that threatened to introduce me to the sport of hang-gliding as 40 mph windgusts buffeted me around...

1/15
Today started early. I had a headache that put me out for much of yesterday. So I have been making up for a lost day. I have some bread baking in the oven and a batch of muffins standing by to go in. I have been cleaning up the house. I have been renovating and hauling the debris out - which means there is a trail from the second floor down the stairs and out the back door. The laundry has been started, and the dishes nearly done. I think I should do some food shopping today. Tonight I am babysitting my sisters kids so that they can have a night out.

I'm loving my day off. I'm getting ready to scoot out the door with the kids. They're going to a friends to play for a bit while I head south to have lunch with my sweetie. After that, I'll come back home, clean some animal cages/tanks, take kids to karate, and try to ignore the whole Jimmy/Timmy thing on TV this afternoon, the only thing I've heard about for a week now. :D
