Rhythm and Blues singer Lou Rawls has died of lung cancer in Los Angeles. He was 72 years old.

Mr. Rawls won three Grammy Awards during his 50 year singing career. He had a big hit in 1976 with “You'll Never Find Another Love Like Mine”.

He was born in Chicago, and first performed in a church choir, where was introduced to gospel music.

It was all I could think of when I heard the sad news. That song just kept running through my mind. Just one of thes songs he sang that left a lasting impression on a girl who couldn't have been more than 10 when she was listening to him.:(

He had a very smooth, almost velvety voice, I thought.
