Here's hoping our Pixie families in Texas, Oklahoma and California are all safe and not threatened by the current bad events going on.

And in addition, a coal mine exploding in West Virginia
( http://www.comcast.net/news/index.jsp?cat=GENERAL&fn=/2006/01/02/295396.html )
an ice rink collapsing in Bavaria
and a plane crashing into the Hudson river
( http://www.comcast.net/news/national/index.jsp?cat=DOMESTIC&fn=/2006/01/02/295309.html ).
Not a good day for human interaction with the planet.

the grass fires around us have all been small so far. we haven't had any moisture since halloween.we ended the year -13 inches on the rain guage. My daughter lives about 60 miles north of us and the grass fires have been bad there she has all of them a bag packed sitting by the door just in case they have to leave.

Thanks for caring...
I am good here. Very dry but good. Just a little info....this new years the governer had raised the price of a fireworks citation to $500.00 per fine. Was pretty steep. The county where I live still has signs up
burn ban on
fireworks ban on (which is a new one.)
Also, if caught tossing a cancer stick down on the ground or out a window it is a automatic ticket. even a match anything that can cause a fire.

Can't believe all the fire damage that has already happened. Keeping all of you in our prayers. Have a sister and brother-in-law in Mansfield (south of Ft. Worth), and worry a lot about them. Take care and be safe ... all of you.
