Hey y'all;

I got to thinking about what gifts you've got for your loved ones this year, after viewing PF's thread about gifts for all us Pixies. (VERY bizarre btw PF!!)

My S/O got a new horse last year, we had to go over 200 miles to see him, she fell for him straight away.... and his name's Sprite!

Anyway..... I was kinda struggling to think of something to get her for Xmas, and I came up with something that I REALLY hope she'll like. Thought I'd post a pic of it here, with the "original" first for comparison. Sorry if it's a bit fuzzy, but this is the best of nearly a dozen pics I took!

What d'you all think? It's made of 18-carat White Gold, and took over two months to make! Personally, I love it.....

That is absolutely gorgeous...what a sweet man you are to do something like that for her. I hope she knows how lucky she is to have you!

dm383,

Very cool. I'm sure it will be a high point of her Christmas this year.

Unreal, ((((((DM)))))))))

What a likeness! Did you make it or was it a commission?

It was a commission, Steph; I had to provide as many photo's of him as I have of him in positions/poses where his head and neck colouration was visible. Then they "roughed it out" and I had to go and view it, also discussed exactly what size it was going to be etc. Then it got worked on some more, another viewing, worked on yet again - and Voila, I finally got what you see th^re! :)

I wish I'd had a camera around on Xmas day when she opened it! My lady isn't exactly known for her reticence in discussing anything, but this time she was totally gobsmacked! (Scots slang for "Speechless"!) And I really do mean that - she literally couldn't say a word for several minutes!

Christmas Night was FUN...... need I say more?!?! ;)
