No offense... but ewwwww I can't stand U2 >< I think the best concert I ever saw was Our Lady Peace or The Tea Party at the Commodore Ballroom in Vancouver BC. ^-^ Raine sooooooooo drool worthy lol.

I saw The Tea Party in Sherbrooke, Québec... I think they are my fave band - the concert was just incredible. Jeff is sooooo much more drool-worthy than Raine ;)

Jethro Tull Aqualung concert 1971 with Procal Harem. The LSD may have helped.

Jethro Tull Aqualung concert 1971 with Procal Harem. The LSD may have helped.I think I was there too, but as they say, if you can remember it, you weren't really there...

I saw the Police on their Ghost in the Machine tour, that was a blast...until they hit me in the eyes with the bank of lights over the stage at the end of "Roxanne"...I could barely find my car to drive home...

But of all the great shows I've seen (& there've been some classics), I guess the best of all had to be the 2 Springsteen shows I was able to see, the best one probably the Born To Run tour that was at the Opry House in '75, he wasn't quite big enough a star at that point to fill the auditorium downtown...but in those days he put on 2-hour shows that left the audiences drained...

i will be seeing U2 when the tour makes it to Melbourne (Australia) in march 2006 and i am just as excited as you Pixiesprite and i have 4 months to go. I also went to the John Forgerty concert here on thursday and that was without a doubt the best concert i have been to in ten years, he was so good it was like going back 30 years to the good old days of creedence

Aerosmith is my all time fave band...so I LOVED every one of their concerts I've been to.

The best "show" is a different thing though. Aerosmith isn't as showy as some bands.

Now...David Bowie could rock the house! Oh my TVC-15...oh oh...TVC-15! Major Tom...etc.!

Van Halen (DLR) was fun to watch.

Believe it or not...Alice Cooper had some interesting shows. Not my fave singer (I don't think he can carry a tune in a bucket), but he loved to put on a show!

And then there's Black Sabbath circa 1972-3 and then again at OzFest 1997. Ozzy's a showman...specially way back when!

Sprite? U2 is on my list of concerts to see/things to do before I leave this planet. Have fun hun!

I have to say Toby Keith put on an awesome show last November here on the Gulf Coast.

But then I again, I'm a wanna be groupie, so I enjoy every concert I go to.

Enjoy the concert. U2 puts on a great show. I have seen them twice. The best concert from a music point of you, I think I would have to give it to Gorden Lightfoot. From a Wow point of view I think it would go to the Rolling Stones.

1976, Memphis, Tenn. Styx on their Grand Illusion tour. Ram Jam opened for them and I still got my ticket stub. First thing I saw when I drove into Memphis was Elvis's place. He died a few months before that. So it was somewhat historic. But I'll never forget it cause that was the longest I ever drove to go to a concert. 500 miles.

I don't know... I always enjoyed Alabama's shows... but I'm a bit quirky.

For me it would have to be the first one I ever went to when I was 14. I saw Iron Maiden with special guest support Anthrax!!! I was stood right at the front.

I'm going to see Bon Jovi opening Wembley stadium in London next year which should be a good show!

Also on the list of good shows I'd have to include The Monkees lol I know but they're good....... honest!

OMG! There's an old thread, somewhere in these archives, that asked us what concerts we saw and I made a list and I can't remember if I mentioned Styx in 76'. I remembered immediately when I saw your post though, brownsfan!

Geezzzzzzz the drugs were good in those days! Wonder what else I may have forgotten...lmfao!

Rush at the Forum in Montreal. 1986. Lots 'o 'Shrooms and everything else. An awesome show - practically a religious experience. And the Montreal nightlife after the show didn't suck either.

Getting our car stripped at the border on the way back DID suck however. Thankfully the Boder patrol DID'NT find the hash in my buddies pocket. But man, did they fuck with us!
