So, we're all sitting around the big table at the firm lunch today, lawyers and support staff alike, eating our Chinese food, and one of the other paralegals mentions this. It caused quite the discussion:

How do you all feel about a site like this that's (supposedly) anonymous? Would any of you post to such a site?

(BTW, some of them ARE hilarious. ;) )

I personally like the fact that it IS anonymous...and some of it is pretty hardcore, wyndhy. In a way, it makes you take your own issues in perspective--at least, it did me when glancing through.

Is it just me...or can anyone else distinguish between male and female posts, even when it's not mentioned, in any context, the gender of the poster?

Post Secret (postsecret.blogspot.com) is one I've been hooked on for a long time. People mail in the coolest postcards with crazy confessions on them.

I'd never heard of the other Confessions site, IAKG. I'll keep reading!

As an american student studying in the United Kingdom, I've got nothing but respect for british culture, british literary tradition, and cheap british student food served at restraunts that don't close 'til well after midnight. What I can't stand, however, is the way the british have decided to design their water taps. Two taps, one hot, one cold, providing two streams of water. One stream freezes and the other scalds and they never mix. Sure, I suppose that I could use the stopper and wait 'til the mixture cooled, but I haven't got all day; I just want to wash my hands and move on with my life without being unduly inconvenienced. I thought that design was a british strength; why are these bathroom fixtures about fifty years behind the times?
