Rosa Lee Parks, whose refusal to give up her bus seat to a white man sparked the modern civil rights movement, died Monday. She was 92.

A truely great lady who lived long enough to see the fruits of her just act of defiance against an inhuman law. Rest in peace Rosa Parks.I'll be happy to see a monument or even a holiday in your honour.

She was someone who was really my kind of hero. Because she didn't want to be a hero, and never tried to be a hero. She was just trying to get on with her life.
