Friends and I were talking about this on our way to classes so thought I'd post up here to see what my fellow pixie members thought...

I think we can all recall most of our first dates here...whether it was minigolf, movies, dinner etc. I think the best first date experience I have ever had would probably be at a coffee shop. It's cheap (just buy her the coffee or lattee whatever she wants) and spend about 45mins-hr talking to each other to get to know one another.

I strictly avoid the movies on a 1st date because you don't really get to know the person as your watchin the movie and not really gettin to know your date. Unless your one of those couples that don't mind talkin during the movies and ruining it for the rest of the crowd  hehe

Another date i avoid is mini-golf...God when your stuck with a person who is just incompatible within the beginning few holes...man it seems like eternity till you get to the 18th hole. Avoid avoid avoid is what I say.

What are your hot and dead spots for first dates fellow pixies?

I like a quiet restaurant that is not usually crowded, agree with the coffee house, and want to suggest an arcade type place. You can see how competitive they are and if they are a good winner/loser. I think a date that has a mixture of things would be fun. Mr. Lil took me bowling then to a place he knew that had great strawberry shortcake. I think he just wanted to watch me eat whip cream ;)

Of course, I was 16...how old are you phelan?

LOL @ you Gekkogecko!

My first date ever we met at a park and hung out talking for awhile and then decided to go to dinner. It was very nice, till I spilled honey mustard all down the front of my shirt... When he told me I had I asked why he was staring at my chest... It was funny I must say, and a very good time!

I had never thought about the mini golf thing. I guess that isn't a good idea! Oh the things you learn from pixies!

The best first date, I have ever been on was going to the zoo. There was plenty to talk about, it was casual and we had a great time

I like the zoo too, just not a good year round option in my neck of the woods.

I haven't been on that many dates really. I've tended just to get to know someone through mutual friends or whatever and then it's just developed from there.

However, the first time I met Fussy, which I didn't really think of as a date at the time, we just wandered through his local shopping mall, all day. Not a great place to get to know someone (especially when in fact you already know them from such intimate chats online and on the phone) and to be honest I didn't really feel comfortable until after we'd had sex in my hotel room that evening!!!!!!!!

It was like "Phew, that's broken the ice, lets go get some dinner!" We then went to a nearby restaurant and it was like we'd been together since forever, so even that didn't feel like a first date, it just felt right.

P.S. Oh shit, I've just realised I'm going to have to come up with a different story to tell our kids about how their parents met!

Same in my experience most of the people I've gone out with have been friends at one time that I met though various places lol, I have next to no experience setting up dates with someone I don't actually know lol

I've always perfered a "date" where ya can relax and learn a bit more about each other , of course ya gotta have osmething fun lol I suggest drunken scrabble ^_^ always a fun icebreaker
