in all the towns in all the world, she walks into mine.

You're sitting/standing/whatever...there doing whatever it is you're doing, and in walks someone that grabs you deep inside. The hook is set before they even speak directly to you.

Have you ever experienced this?

I have. A couple of times in my youth, and twice in my adulthood. Mrs. WI caught me before we were even introduced, and I was even more smitten when I found out I caught her at that same moment.

And, of course, here. :D

So what about you? C'mon...line up and spill your guts!

Tee hee, the place I met the current guy . . . it'd be a compliment to call it a gin joint (ask IAKG!).

I was having a few jugs with my 75-year-old gay friend. We would often point out the good-looking guys we spotted for the other's benefit. We both spotted Dan at the same time and Charles raised his eyebrows at me. It turned out Charles knew Dan & I hoped he was a boytoy of Charles (Dan was tall, skinny, neat -- ya know, the Seinfeld definition of gay). That shows my love of Charles. I thought Dan was very handsome and hoped he'd be interested in Charles.

Alas, Dan was straight and we fell for each other that night.

Charles was an old friend of his but was then royally disappointed Dan was straight when I told him he was well endowed.

Hey, you know me. I can't have the typical 'boy meets girl' story!

I've had this happen. And to be honest when it has, I usually sit back and just watch. I think the surprise of the feelings make me cautious of how I proceed.

It happens, once in a blue moon, and I look in sorrow at someone who may have been someone very special

in my life. I have a commitment I won't break, but it's nice to know the heart still reaches out.

Yep, it's happened to me three times. Each time it is a wonderful journey of discovery.

It might be happening to me again right now, with someone at work. <sigh>
