Gentlefolk,
If anyone is planning to fly soon, you may want to keep in mind that both Delta and Northwest Airlines are likely to declare Chapter 11 this month.

Thanks for the heads up. I'm debating a trip for graduation and I will keep that in mind while shopping.

Chapter 11 is going bankrupt but seeking a way through the courts to reorganize and re-establish business viability. (I'm by no means an authority and may not have said it exactly right, but that's my understanding of filing Chapter 11.)

And (of course) I have tix on Delta for Thanksgiving (SFO to CMH), and m mom has tickets on Delta to come out for 3 weeks over Christmas.
Aren't I glad I'm a Platinum on Delta? :spin:

I wouldn't worry too much, AA and United did it earlier. I would worry more about the ongoing Northwest mechanics strike, I think that'll mess with the schedules more.

not to mention that EVERYONE wants to ride in a vehicle where the last grease monkey to tighten the bolts was a pissed-off overworked undertrained underpaid scab...
