I have posted this on the Pixies Package #1 thread also, but thought a special thread should be made to notify everyone!!!! :D

Hooray for Cobalt!!!!
Being a manly man, Cobalt decided to take this situation into his own hands, hoping that he could "out-bitch" me..

Well..... he did! (Imagine that?!?) He went to the post office today with found slip in hand (found it in the student assessment folder ) and talked to the Postmaster (who happens to be female ) Well, there happened to be a package in the back on the shelf that they didn't know what to do with (duh)! the delivery address wasn't for here, and the return address wasn't from around here and of course, the tag for the postage wasn't on the box! (it must have fallen off.. sure) They had located it late last week and it was on the list to be sent to Waterloo to the "lost" area!!!! Of course, they didn't remember me with my lost box

In a nutshell.. he said they were full of excuses as to why it wasn't sent back to the return address (no postage), etc....

So, the proper postage has been affixed (postmaster did it right in front of him :eek and Pixies Package #1 is off again!!!!

I've said it before, I'll say it again -- Chey & Co rock!

I actually didn't give up hope on this one. I had a feeling something like this would happen. I still hold my breath wondering about Canadian customs, though.

We're a liberal country but our customs regulations re: porn are fucked.

Rules in the states are worse. :rolleyes2

I'd make a comment about our conservative Republican government, but I'd sound too much like someone living in Berkeley. :D

Chey and Cobalt ~~ so happy to hear that the package is headed to its desintation!!! :D

All I know is that sometimes it's difficult for certain titles to get here from the States. Things that are available in the States can't be transported here because of perceived notions of obscenity. It's one of the last frontiers of conservatism in Canada.

Most rules in the States are worse, of course I agree. I just know there have been Supreme Court cases here that have argued we should be able to order porn from other countries.

A satirical American Web site mocks our regulations here:

I still like our liberalism but I really think our Customs officials are infringing upon the lives of Canadian pervs.
