Aqua & I are They Might Be Giants Fans (not saying others aren't but they're a lovely acquired taste).
I'm just listening to a Hawksley Workman CD. He's a Canuck who hit it big in Europe cuz he's so sensual & cabarat & I think a lot of Pixies might like him.
Here's a song I've been listening to A LOT cuz once again I'm dating a non-smoker (but the song rocks regardless):
No muscle man, no candy cane
No pack of sexy starving wolves
No money talking, moonlight walking
Lady shocking, big crow cocking
Those ladybugs can go to blazes
Here and there go pretty faces
All of this don't mess my stuffing
Only one thing got me huffing
I'm jealous of your cigarette
And all the things you do with it
I'm jealous of your cigarette
And the pleasure that you get from it
And not me
All this time your talking no
No king, no prince with gold ring pinky
I suggest that we do something kinky
No pilot flying private plane
To smooch you on the hills of Spain
No catapult to all night kisses
That old thing just always misses
All of this don't mess my stuffing
Only one thing got me huffing
I'm jealous of your cigarette
And all the things you do with it
I'm jealous of your cigarette
And how you wanna suck on it
And not me
All this time your talking no
All this time your talking no
I'm jealous of your cigarette (Repeat X 9)

Steph,
I enjoy Baroque music.
Steph
08-06-2005, 11:12 AM
I'm a fan of baroque, too. There's a harpsichord in the front window of a piano store here & I would love to buy it!
So, from baroque to an admission of Cheyanne proportions . . .
Not only do I love Neil Diamond, I saw him in concert. By myself. Everyone I knew had too much "pride" or something to go with me.

My brother wanted to be Neil Diamond.....I saw him too with bro in Hamilton too many years ago to remember when lol
Now Harry Chapin is another guy I adored....saw him too just before he died.

Back for the first time in a long time.
Gotta go with " Eddie from Ohio"
The best band you have never heard of. All of y'all in the Virginia/Carolina region may have heard of them though.
Next would be "Great Big Sea" All ya canucks have heard of them, but most of us in the states haven't. A friend from New Foundland ( where GBS is from also )turned me on to them and they are awesome. Saw them in Northampton MA in 2004 and they were phenomenal.
nomeansno and Voivod are two bands I love that most here have never even heard of.
Let's see... I know I'm forgetting someone...
Oh yeah... Sadhappy! They're pretty much a local Seattle band but they have (had) a large following. Too bad they aren't playing anymore. :(
